A Note From Marty

Thank you for your interest in the O Street Studios, one of the premier art studio buildings in the city. We have 30 private, secure studios ranging in size from 250 to more than 1,000 square feet. Among the artists and craftspeople are painters, potters, jewelers, writers, actors, fashion designers, woodworkers, photographers, typesetters, and computer art designers.

Our tenants teach art, build bicycles, assemble motorcycles, build cabinetry, gather and distribute not-for-profit art supplies, hold model-portrait sessions, produce magazines, curate galleries and museums, and art-fellow in the US and abroad. Well-planned Open Studios each year invite the public and collectors to visit artists and see their studios and work.

I welcome your inquiry about available studio openings. Work-only spaces vary in size and are affordably priced. Water stations are inside the unit or in a common sink area on each of our four floors. Building access is 24-hours a day.

Commercial leases generally are a year or two years in length, though tenants requesting an early departure from the lease are accommodated. Security deposits range between $100.00 and $250.00. Most leases include utilities and maintenance of building services and common areas. Units are delivered clean and often reflect the style and taste of the previous occupant. Tenants are free to customize their studios as they see fit.

In your inquiry, you're welcome to discuss:

  • 1. The size of the studio you seek
  • 2. How many persons will share with you
  • 3. The creative use you intend

We'll respond with the status of current openings and offer to place your inquiry on a will-call list for future openings that may fit your needs.

Please email your inquiries to ostreetrentals@gmail.com, and thank you again for your interest.
